"Alan Barrington with a proclivity for blues-tinged, acoustic music, may be baptized in the fundamental folk of James Taylor and the home spun troubadour style of David Wilcox, Barrington's music lilts through vignettes about love and the simple joys of living. The scantily funky blues-folk strains of "Good Wood" and similar songs have a kind of gentle, head-bobbing appeal, imbuing his music with a kick of innovation", says Creative Loafing. "I thought this was an amazing album. This man obviously has a heart and talent for music. It was touching and the songs are well written and catchy. Thank you Alan, for giving me a CD worth hearing. Those are hard to find." Mac Pierce - Amazon.com
